Sounds a bit pricy to me Sparky. I part exed a 2000 2.0TS SP1 about a year ago, the Dealer put it back up at £8995.00, but it was only really worth about £7000 trade in.
It needs to be low Miles and perfect condition, FARSH the lot to ask 9 for it.
Check it's a UK car, many are not, (Including mine). Simplest way is to look for the chassis number etched on the glass. If it's not on it's an import, if it is it's probably UK supplied but you still need to check.
Check the Cambelt has been done, the book say's 60K, but it needs doing at no more than 45K, it's not a cheap job, but neither are new Engines....
Haggle hard, and keep your options open, there are lots out there. Good Luck, and keep us posted.
