Thumbs Up what oil?????

hi all am thinking of doing an oil change on my 156 1.6 it currently has 10-40 in but wondered if it would be ok with magnatec or something like that as i am still very new to my alfa romeo and want the best for it all suggestions are greatly appreciated

magnetec is fine, as it is available at least here in Oz as 10w-40.

the important thing is you change on time and keep an eye on the level... Brand or whether its fully synth are not as important as the above two factors.

don't forget the oil filter!

Just make sure it is a 10W40
Semi-Synthetic and Full Synthetic are both fine as long as they are the correct viscosity.

5W40 is fine too.

But as above, keep a VERY close eye on the oil level and keep it on the "Max" mark.

I got a deal on Fuchs Titan XTR semi synthetic a couple of months back from Opie oils.

I got 10 litres delivered for around 31

I would spend a bit more and get a 5w-40 fully synthetic if I had been ben better off financially though.

Mine gobbled up 5w40 fully synth oil, ok if you don't mind spending out to top it up a lot! 10w40 Selenia made a huge difference!!!
