Re: I 've had it.. - Water inside the car
I ll keep that in mind Rarebear, thanks. Today I managed to clean the snow of the car and I took off the carpet to see whats happening underneath. The material under the carpet was drown in water.. Tomorrow i ll probably remove the seat as well
PS: One more thing. I need feedback from somebody who HAS NO ALARM on his 147. Under the A-pillar to the driver's side ( LHD ), if you open the bonnet, there is a black spongy material. If you pull it out, you will see a set of cables covered in a plastic pipe entering the passengers compartment. I noticed that if the car is parked with an inclination to the left ( the driver's side) all the water from the windshield is falling in there. The hole from which the cables pass inside is supposed to have a plastic or rubber cover, to prevent water come in. In my case, the alarm's cables pass trough that hole, and i have the suspicion that the electrician removed completely the hole's cover to pass the alarm's cable and didnt bother to put some sealing silicon there. If the car is parked on an uphill with the nose up, it seems like all the water can enter inside. I fogot to take a picture of it, i ll take one tomorrow. Please if someone can take a look if there is a cover there, let me know. Its a long shot, but passing the alarm's cables from that hole and not sealing the gaps, could explain why some of us had leaks and the rest owners never had any. Especially the UK guys who live in quite rainy country.
