Clutch not working, pedal goes to the floor and doesn't disengage, so, after a lot of forum searching, guessed it was the slave cylinder. Ordered new one, spent an hour or so with all the wrong tools taking it out and putting the new one in. Air hose disconnected, battery out, battery tray out, un-ping circlip, discover rubber cover has disintegrated, pull half the cylinder out front-ways, disconnect pipe, and remove rest through the back of the bracket. Get shiny new cylinder in place (ooooh, pretty), swear at it for 20 mins to get the pigging circlip back on
, re-attach pipe, put battery tray and battery back in, re-attach air hose.
Pedal still drops to the floor, and still wont disengage clutch
So my question is: what have or haven't I done? The cylinder was definitely knackered, but knowing my luck I wouldn't be at all surprised if there was something else at fault.
Many thanks in advance
