2.4 JTD 10v 150 2002 problems after service - sluggish
had my car serviced today by a good friend (owns a mobile mechanic business), did the usual of checking the car over etc
dropped the oil, did the filters and as the car is on 86K now went to swap the fuel filter.
We took the old one off but then found the replacement didn't fit.
Had to bolt the old one back on.
Took off up the road and all was normal plenty power etc for 50 yds then no power and couldn't rev above 3k in 1st.
after a while of revving and checking different stuff once the engine warmed up the issue went away but was still very much down on power than before the service (the old air filter that came out had half a hedge in it so was expecting pretty decent power increase if anything)
All i can think is we disturbed a load of crap in the bottom of the old fuel filter and it clogged up when we refitted it.
About 30 mins ago went outside to start the car again to go to the shops and it again would not go above 3k in 1st - after about 10 mins of crawling round and revving it etc it freed up and off we went again albeit again with less power than prior to the service.
Tried unplugging the MAF, marginal difference so not that
It feels almost like the car has no turbo on cold start.
The car was running bob on prior to the service as well - went to the trafford centre meet and was matching performance with an alfatune remapped 1.9 JTDM GT
Am I in the right area do you think?
also any ideas where i can get a fuel filter on a sunday?
