and use Continental belts ... I have very good experiences with them !
p.s. regarding the tensioners, they started in 1995 with black plastic tensioners made in Canada (I had one on my 146 TI whch desintegrated with 6000 km on the clock), later the nylon (white) tensioners came along (also made in Canada) which lasted a bit longer, now they use steel tensioners which may cobble up the belts quicker but stay intact....
there is no substitute for a chain driven distribution... but if a chain breaks it will consume
the entire engine !! the best distribution is the crown wheel distri... but that is way to expensive for normal automobiles...
anyway change belts and tensioners every 3 years period
