Wheel noise

Hi guys.

The Goblin is being gremlin-ish again. This morning we have a new problem.
There is a weird noise coming from one of the wheels. It sounds almost like the brakes are catching in a spot or like a wheel is chaffing on the body. It's accompanied by a slight bump, felt though the seat of my pants as if the tire has a lump. The issue comes and goes. It feels like it's coming from the left back wheel.

I don't think its brake pads, I've checked all the wheel bolts, It's not drive train related.
I can't find any lumps or uneven tread on the tire surface when I ran my hands over the whole wheel. Also, as I said it comes and goes. I was still dark so a visual inspection isn't very reliable.

What should I check?

Cheap to get a rear wheel alignment , I had a noise on my GT and found I had backed into a kerb and misaligned the rear wheel . Put up with it to long and had to replace the rear tyres as well . The noise came and went like you mentioned.
