Had the heater matrix on my 2007 GT 1.9 JTD replaced last week. The climate control light switches on the heater controls come on when the ignition is first turned on and then disappear. The aircon is working fine but there is now no automatic switching between direction of airflow or fan speed as there was before the work was done. I'm going to take the car back next week but, as they are not my usual Alfa Main dealer (I stupidly decided to save £100 on the cost of the matrix replacement) I am concerned that they will make things worse by not understanding Alfa workings. Can anyone advise please - is this a battery disconnect and reconnect thing that I can do myself?
Not hundreds on the battery but it doesn't seem to be bad. Everything else works fine, no trouble starting and lights are all good. Doing a proxy alignment today, if that doesn't work I'll have to make a new plan.
Right, I've had the Proxy Alignment done but the fuse keeps blowing on the unit. The man said an autoelectrician is needed to find out why. Anyone have either an idea why the fuse may keep blowing or alternately a good autoelectrician near hemel hempstead?
