I feel your pain mate, it took me quite a while to find what I was looking for. I bought my 2.0 Selespeed 147 in March...I had been looking since before xmas and started to loose hope. I came across a few bad examples of black 147s that you could tell straight away hadn't been cared for and because I'm also in Northern Ireland there isn't exactly a lot of choice. I settled for a grey one (my ideal colour would have been red or black) with 48,000 miles for £2595 that was top spec Lusso with Bose sound system/cd changer/leather seats/climate control/cruise control etc. It is an absolute must that it has the timing belt changed at 36,000 mile intervals otherwise factor in another £400 on top of the price (as I had to do!). Mines is a 5-door but I need that for my little girl, I wouldn't be put off by a 5 door anyway as the handles are nicely disguised and suit the shape of the car well. One thing I'd say abou the leather seats is that it is really easy maintained/just wipe down, especially good if you had kids in the back!
Good luck on your search..wait it out and you will know straight away if its the right one for you!
