Well here is a suprise.
I removed the knackered drop links from the front anti roll bar, and there was no knocking noise whatsoever. With the ARB drop links removed, I drove down the local motor factor spares and bought a set of "Firstline" ones. I got back home, jacked the car up, fitted them, had a quick drive and guess what, the nearside has developed a heavy knock.
Brought the car back home, jacked up the car, removed the "new" drop links that I fitted 10mins previous and guess what - no knocking.
This is a bit of a joke really. I have tried cheap droplinks from eBay, QH droplinks, Alfa Romeo manufactured droplinks, and now FirstLine drop links. Have I really got any options left?
All suspension components have minimal wear, what I mean by this, is that the front arb was fitted in January this year, I fitted some Koni shocks and springs late last year, along with upper and lower wishbones (back in January when I done the arb). Not forgetting new strut top-mounts and a strut brace. Springs are not broken/damaged, they are still quite hard, although as they are adjustable, I have left them on the softest setting.
Any other ideas?
