Sorry to raise the dreaded radiator subject again, but I need some help. The car in question is a 156 2.5 V6
I've managed to undo the fan assembly (despite some idiot fitting a self tapping screw on the least accessible corner). But there doesn't seem to be enough room to pull the fan assembly out. Is it actually possible to remove the fan assembly without taking out what I presume is the air filter and MAF on the right hand side of the engine?
If I do manage to remove the fan assembly without doing this, is it actually possible to disconnect the bottom hose without removing the air bits? I presume the big cylinder at the bottom right next to the bottom hose is the air filter? There seems to be about half an inch clearance between it and the hose. If these are indeed air parts, are they easy to remove?
I could really do with some pointers from someone who has actually done this job on a 156 2.5 V6. I really really want to finish this job tomorrow if at all possible. Help!
