Recently had my car in for service (I won't say where yet!) 48,000 one even though it has done less miles than that.
As far as I was aware everything went fine except for replacing wear and tear parts brakes etc, anyway on the way home I thought my car doesn't sound right, it sounded louder somehow and it wasn't pulling well at all.
I arrived home and phoned the service department who said bring it back if you're worried which was fine, I thought I'd give it a few miles to see if it sorted itself out only it didn't and became louder and louder like the exhaust was blowing I thought.
I had a really good look under the car today and nothing so I looked under the bonnet and guess what I found...the air box hanging on by one screw they had broken the other two off hadn't told me and just left it like that
hence the noise and the car not pulling right.
I've just been on the phone to them and they knew about it but failed to put it on the invoice for reasons only know to them wtf are they playing at?
Also they've informed me it will cost ME £120+vat for a new air box, I know these boxes have problems but that's not my fault is it?
What should I do now? I don't see why I should pay they broke it and didn't even have the manners to tell me, instead I've been driving around thinking something far worse is wrong with my car, f00kin id!ots
