Alfa 147 1.6TS

still sound clunky after new ball joints

My 147 recently had rather nosiy ball joints from front wheels so took it to the Alfa specialist and got both upper and lower bones with genuine parts replaced.

Whilst I've also put new front tyres so I thought it would be a good time to do a four wheel tracking at one of the more reputable tyre places (who got the John Beam alignment machine). The guy at the tracking garage struggled to adjust the track rod ends as they were quite heavily seized, hence have replaced both of them by means of using a hot gun to loosen the seized ends (is that normal to do?)

And since then I noticed a slight clunky noise especially when going over bumps or poorly surfaced roads coming from footwell area which sounds unpleasant..

What I would like to know is, would that be anything to do with the new track rod ends? As i was more certain the alfa specialist have replaced and checked everything and should have cured the knocking problems in suspension. (note: anti-roll bar not replaced though) But can steering rod make such a noise under vibrations? Would it be because the original track rod ends were seized so even with the new ones on (unsure it's alfa genuine part) they might already be thrown off the threads hence became a bit loose and knock, if that's a possibility?

Any thoughts much's quite annoying after having spent quite a bit of money already and problem still exists..

sounds like anti roll bar links, about 30 each side from reputable Alfa specialists, or the bar itself as the rubbers that secure it to the body can wear.
