New 156 Sportwagon Owner - Niggles
Hi everyone, I'm Al.
My car history consists of an old mini, a 76 VW camper and a 1963 Morris Traveller...due to this I am extremely impressed with my new Alfa but I have a few questions.
I bought it from a Subaru dealer near Glasgow and he gave it a full service (inc. plugs), timing belt change, new rear discs, pads and callipers and 12 months MOT. It is a Y reg with 88k on the clock and it has tan leather and lots of toys. I paid £1800 all in so I'm rather pleased.
Now on to the niggly bits...
1. When I go over bumps (pot holes etc) it doesn't just make a car noise it makes a kind of clunky knocking noise...wishbones maybe??
2. The thermostat doesn't work as the car is always running cold (easy replacement I hear)
3. It's so much fun beyond 3000 revs that I am paying too much on fuel!!!
Yeah, so I have some money left in the budget to get things sorted but nothing is really springing to mind...what do you suggest? The timing belt is the same as the cam belt right??
Thanks for reading and look forward to your replies.
