Well, I for one, will praise the Q-System!
I don't think I've heard or read about any major issues with the Q-System gearbox, unlike the Selespeed!
I think its really a case of horses for courses... some people prefer to push and pull a stick through a box of cogs, as I did myself quite happily for many years, but if you end up having to endure a lot of stop-start town driving, and want to stay with the marque, I find the Q-System the ideal compromise!
My previous Alfa was a V6 164, a blinding motorway cruiser, but the notoriously heavy clutch was a pain around town; it was a proper left legged workout!
With the Q-System, you also have the H gate clutch-less option, if you have the 'manual' urge, or best of all, switch from city to sport mode and then give it some beans... boy does it shift!
My only criticism... I think it would have benefited with an over-drive for more fuel efficient motorway cruising.
