Colour Polishes / Touch Up Paint

Dear all,

Some git has put a one inch scratch down the Alfa Red paint on the driver's door of my lovely 156 - only a day after I'd polished it. Now, the wife says you can hardly see the scar, but, for me, every time I go to open the door I have to try and avert my eyes, as it is just too painful.

Are there any colour polishes, or, dare I say, 'touch up' paint, which would do the trick, and ease my stress? I suppose, if all else fails, I could contact the dealer, but I seem to remember when others have had similar problems the dealers have been of little or no help.

The scratch is fairly deep, and has revealed the white undercoat, so a polish probably wouldn't suffice.

Any ideas?

I got a little wax thing -it looked like a lipstick, and was called a chipstick - free with a bottle of colour magic polish. It works very well in black, I can't speak for any other colour.

Re: Colour Polishes / Touch Up Paint

I had the same on my 156 (Alfa red colour 130 ! ) first I sprayed some 130 paint on a cloth and rubbed that in the scratch. Let it dry, then used Turtle wax with teflon (ptf) to polish the door. it is now near invisible !!!

I feel for you !!!
