Crazed To buy or not to buy!!!

Hey all,

cheers for taking the time to read this thread.....I'm currently in the market for a car around £10-11k and obviously first and foremost I wanted an alfa

I'm 24 now turning 25 in Oct and I've had my lil workhorse, a 1.2 dynamique since 1800 miles and its been brill, but a 1.2 doesnt put a smile on ur face!! I've test driven an rx-8, alfa gt, audi tt, civic and audi estate a4. All cars put a smile on my face but none left me more speechless than the alfa, just being in it was an event and I loved everything about it.

This particular gt was local and very overpriced so I simply wanted to test drive but my question is if there are any alfa romeo gt owners out there....what are the ownership costs as in day to day, the mpg is great because I'd be getting the JTDm, so theres no issue on road tax etc but tyre prices, servicing costs at an alfa romeo garage, regular problems to look out for.

Any help would be GREATLY appreciated, but I am leaning towards a blackline with the 18inchers, just to reflect on tyres compared with the 16/17" cheers!

alfa romeo gt

well i think i can give you some advise on the range of your car list as i owned the rx8 and civic before

rx-8, it will become the nightmare, i got the 231ps one , it is very nice, fast, good handing, rear wheel drive, beautiful interior, but my running cost is around 18mpg on average even i didnt drive hard

audi tt, as your budget is 10-11K which mean you are not looking for the new model , the old tt is for lady, i always laugh out if some guy driving that

civic , no matter how fun, how good , how the valuable is ,civic is a civic.

audi estate a4, you still young rite , dont drive a daddy car

alfa gt, i told some of my friends i sold my rx8 bcoz of i have no money, cant afford the rx8 really some time im runnging 16mpg, i saw the pertol station man at least twice a week, then 1 day , i bring up the alfa gt, all of my friend saying " omg, i though you say you have no money , why you get a better car , you won the lotto"?

GT would be the obvious choice out of the three, personally I would settle with 17"s.
Have you thought about 159's? like this

Falkens are around £70 delivered for each tyre in 17/18
