Potential 147 1.6 TS issues on the way?
Hello my fellow Alfisti's...need your help and expertise.
My wife's 2004 147 1.6 has started to show the following signs recently:
1. White smoke from exhaust (not a huge amount but definitely visible)
2. Fluctuating engine temp gauge (just about reaches 90, but then drops down one notch)
3. White "mayo" like substance in the engine oil cap
I have started to monitor the coolant level and have also looked around for visible leaks (no signs yet).
The car is driven mainly on weekdays and her journey to work is only six miles (roundtrip).
Have done a search on the forum and looks like it could be a multitude of issues which could be causing this. I will be taking it to my local indie shortly but thought I'd try and get some feedback here first.
Apart from the above, the car runs perfectly well so I've got my fingers crossed that it's nothing major. Buying the 147 for her was not a popular choice and I will never hear the end of it if the car needs to go in for a major repair. So please, help!
