gearbox/reverse lt switch

Hi folks,

I'm in need of some assistance.
I had the old 'parking sensor and reversing light' failure and after removing the battery and tray, i managed to diconnect the conector from the switch. I discovered that one of the wires had parted company with the connector ( as suspected) but due to there being no length left on the stubby end i need to extract the the pin/socket from the connector so i can solder on my wires.
Here lies the problem, can anyone tell me how to extract the socket from the connector without buggering it up?
Many thanks,

oops, finger trouble !
