Hmmm... still stuck.
1. If any of the x4 doors are left open when you hit the 'bleeper' - the central locking unlocks again to show something is wrong (must be a switch in the lever lock mech).
2. The same thing happens with the boot (again, must be a switch in the lever lock mech).
3. The bonnet has a micro-switch that is activated by the lever mechanism (cable operated opening).
4. The boot has x2 switches on it (one either each side, don't know why there should be 2?).
--> I've cleaned the bonnet switch to within an inch of its life with IPA (spray cleaning alcohol) and you can hear the switch mechanism operating (doesn't mean that contacts are okay, or the wiring cable either). By forcing the mech shut with the bonnet open the mech definitely closes the micro-switch wiper arm.
--> As the problem is INTERMITTENT, i can't force it to happen with either the bonnet or boot switch (opening the switches once the lever mech has been forced closed with a screwdriver) without it possibly being the other that is causing the extra 'bleep'. I tried for some time to do this.
Any simple ideas I've overlooked to narrow this down without replacing switches or opening connections to check continuity with a meter?
