Im new to this forum and first time Alfa owner. Just got an Alfa 147 1.9JTD 8V, and im interested in changing my tires and shocks.
Im not a fast rider or anything, just use the car for normal things.
Tires are 205/55/R16.
Any advice would be helpful. Thank You
If you are not a fast rider, you can choose any tire from the well known brands. Just avoid "never heard of" Chinese brands. Don’t buy tires from UHP or sporty range, they tend to have stiffer sidewalls and provide less comfort.
If you don’t want to lower the car and want the same handling - buy original ones or direct replacements with same characteristics as Billstein B4.
If you don’t want to lower the car and want stiffer suspension, with better control, no bottoming out - buy something like Billstein B6 or Koni FSD.
If you want to lower the car (I dont expect this according to your question) - well, do some search here, this is for a long discussion but usual options are Koni + Eibach springs or Billsteins + HR springs.
