Technospeak, must be getting old!
Had my 156 V6 Veloce sw serviced last week. Mentioned when dropping it off that it had misfired a couple of times and stalled on a cold engine at low revs / featherweight throttle usage, no big deal, but could they see if they could find anything obvious? Here's what came back on the report:
"Checked for cause of misfire, found lambda and air flow sensors showing error. Checked connections to lambda and air flow sensor, deleted errors and re-set operating parameters."
Never knew I had a lambda. Makes my car sound like a software product. Can anybody enlighten me and tell me what a lambda is and does, and what kind of air flow is being captured in the sensors? Thanks...
