My GT JTD clutch is slipping, only afterat 2000 rpm when in 3rd or higher, but it only slips for a second or less, the engine seems to cut to let it 'catch'. Is the ECU aware of the sudden difference between speeds, and is cutting power to prevent burn out? also, its very interrmittent, might'nt slip for days, no matter how I push it. Onlly 50K miles, never driven aggesively. I was told some Dual Mass Flywheel clutchs have dampers in them as well as springs. Could this be just a fluid leak from the damper, or am I 'Clutching; at straws? if it was would there be a visible leak on the bottom of the housing. did'nt see anything there recently when I dropped the guard to change oil/filter. Engine not remapped, tho I was considering it, but this would definitely rip the a**e out of it in its current state.
