The last new crank sensor I checked gave 1100 Ohms.
900-1500 is about what you would expect IMO, however just because you get a good reading doesn't mean it is 100% ok.
The last time I had a crank sensor fail, I got no error codes, only a car that would turn over but wouldn't start. The sensor gave a reading of 10,000 Ohms.
If the crank sensor has failed you will get no fuel or sparks, it may be worth taking a coil out and putting in an old plug, and then cranking the engine to see if you have sparks.
You will never be cool driving a Vauxhall.
