Right, odd title but here it goes.
car was running fine all the way back from france until i took over the driving as we were leaving the ferry.
*beep* "selespeed system failure"
Right. But all gears seemed fine so drove off the ferry (thank god! i was in front of the exit!) and pulled over when the alarm started to get irritating.
Found i had no selespeed fluid above the baffle plate in the res but after i endured the rest of the drive to my folks and bought some from Fiat it was only 1/3 litre short. Strangely, the fluid came up cloudy at first "prime" suggesting contamination, then after a short drive came up clear again.
Put simply, the alarm is still beeping at me, the pump isn't running for the full seven-ish seconds when you open the door but everything is working fine except the beeping noise which, after a three hour drive home with it constantly going off, I am looking at removing with the aid of a conveniant roadside tree
I have tried looking through the other threads with no luck but sorry if this is a duplicate...
Anybody had similar problems?
for the sake of the trees...
