156 v6 Q-system behaviour
been running this car since Jun-09 and very pleased with it, but lately I notice a few things on the gearbox. When I first got it it was overful on fluid but ran ok and was advised it'd be ok (not so sure about that, but...), it's dropped little fluid regularly since I bought it and is now at cold-max when cold, fluid looks OK colour-wise on the dip-stick.
I find that when driving the car enthusiastically and then stopping quickly, sometimes it doesn't seem to want to let go of gear and keeps pulling, even stalled a couple times, more noticeable in sport mode but also in city. Also when stopping more gently, when you go to pull off again it's slow getting back into drive. Other than that, seems to drive fine, smooth changes up/down etc., no fault lights or anything.
I'll contact Sunnyside and see how they're fixed to look at it and get the fluid flushed and filters cleaned/changed and see how that goes, but thought I'd ask here in case anyone's got any pointers/advice too... Might consider doing this myself, if I can source the correct ATF. Guess the problem is finding and indy with good auto-box knowledge... know any in the E.London area?
Car's done 105K miles, any known life-expectancy issues with these boxes? I know the Citroen-XM you'd be looking at 90-120K before failure unless the box was well maintained, but the 156 seems to have good cooling setup on the auto-box so hopefully less of a problem.
