Although I am currently looking at getting a new Alfa I'd quite like to sell my current one privately and I'm just trying to sort out little things on it.
Since getting the cam belt and timing variator changed, the car seems to be idling funny.
I did take it back and they said it was fine but its gotten worse and worse. I finally went down today to get it booked in though they didnt even look at it.
The rev counter stays normal but the car sounds like its reving up and down really quickly and you can feel the car shaking and doing this.
I've opened the bonnet and it sounds like its coming from the cam belt. I think the correct term to use is that its 'hunting' if thats right? There's no warning lights or anything though either.
Thing is, they reckon its fine and seem to want to get out of it already but i'm scared that if it is their fault i'll still end up paying for something.
Has anyone got any ideas about this? Although i'm tempted to pop it to the local Vauxhall garage i've used before as they'll happily look at it there and then for free and i should know.
