Colour coded dipsticks? Yellow and Black

Hi everyone, I just changed the plugs in my 2001 156 2.5 v6 Q-shift.
While I was in there I checked the dipsticks at the front, one Yellow directly behind the cooling fans, and one colored black, just under the air intake tubing.

They aren't labeled and I can't seem to figure out which is which... oil or ?

The Black one reads well above MAX (presume that one is oil) and the yellow one reads below MIN.

What is the yellow one reading??

Thanks anyone!

The yellow one is the engine oil, and should have a clover imprinted into it.
If its below min, get some more oil in it ASAP! Make sure you check it when the engine is cold and hasnt been run though, as when the engine has been run the oil sits in the heads etc until it drains down to the sump (dip stick measures sump level).

The black one i dont have on my car (v6 manual), so i assume its for the auto box, in which case it shouldnt be black (oil should be red. black indicates its burnt usually), and the oil should be checked with the car running, in gear.

Yes the yellow one is for engine oil and the black one is for the auto gearbox.

awesome thanks guys, feel stupid letting it get that low now. somehow my engine started leaking between services. I've been reading a bit about overfilling, and underfilling, do you aim to keep the oil at the max line or exactly in the middle?
