Motor control system failure
Well yesterday I got the dreaded 'motor control system failure' on my beloved 02 147. I have seen a few threads on here about motor control system failures on 147's, so I know a common culprit is the battery. It has needed jumping a fair few times recently, so I am going to get a new one. Before I do this though does anyone know if a battery from a 98 Hyundai Coupe would be suitable? We currently have one of these sat on the drive which only had a new battery a year ago, so if the battery would fit I'll just ask my fiance to swap them over.
If it is the battery would that be causing actual system failure issues, or just the warning. Only the car seems to be revving randomly and not evenly controlling the speed.
