I’ve had mine for a month now. First impression was how bad the steering felt on roads I knew. The front end didn’t feel connected when turning into a bend and I lost all confidence in it and disappointed. I checked the tyre pressures to find they were 5psi to low all round. Pumped them up went out and found it no better. Next checked the front tracking. It measured 2.5mm Toe-in. According to eLearn the setting should be negative 2.5mm, which would mean 2.5mm Toe-out. Reset it to 2.5mm toe-out, magic. Confidence back now I can position the car where I want it.
Find the front suspension is a bit too soft. It nose dives when braking and likes to roll around a lot. Think it needs stiffer front springs as the rear is also loose.
Surprisingly quite on the motorway, a little wind noise around the windscreen and a very light whistle from the door glass. Thought the frameless glass would be noisy but is in fact much quieter than other cars I’ve had in the past with conventional door frames.
Done about 1000 miles now, mpg is around 25 and getting better as I learn to drive it. Gear change is also stiff when cold like a Vauxhall box. Soon gets better after a few miles of warming up. Wondering if it’s got the correct oil in it?
Also looking to fit a Q2 diff. Had a Quaife diff on a previous car, similar to the Q2 and that took I while to get use to the power oversteer, front pulling in, instead of the power understeer. Lots of fun once the brain was reprogrammed.
Only problem I find with it now is I keep wasting time just standing looking at the shape of it.
