I dont understand why you have to have any kind of inspection, end of the day, the manufacturer should stick to the 8 yrs, inspected or not, my dads had Vauxhalls for a while, his Calibra had problems with the anti perforation warrenty covering it, no inspections, no questions when there warrenty was 6yrs! And that was yrs ago on a 1991 Calibra! This is purely a get out on Alfa/Fiat groups part and a very unfair one! I usually get to see the underside of my/misses cars when they go for MOT, but this time I wasnt there for the 147, Im just hoping theres no problems with mine! I do think alot of it has to do with who has the car, where its usually parked, etc. As some have said, when looking for my first car (Corsa sri) many yrs ago, I looked at a few, one had been sat on grass where it was usually parked and was rotten underneath at about 7/8 yrs old, sump was leaking oil! The one I bought was sound no rust at all.
