Cat back Exhaust Replacement.... possible on ramps?
I replaced my hand brake cable at the weekend and that went quite well and I was going to attempt to loosen my Exhaust bolts prior to refitting this weekend coming...
As expected the rear clamp is rusted as the bolt head and thread has rusted to nothing. This i can cut off with a dremal I'd have thought and/or drill out and then use force to free the backbox. However the centre pipe is an issue, to free it from the cat i can hardly see the bolts with the rear of the car on ramps. Does anyone know if its possible to get decent access to the bolts on the cat if you have the car on ramps from the front? Or would axle stands be better? Or should I just take it to the local garage? If I do get access I am pretty sure its not going to come off!! So can I drill the bolts out?
