Nice job, in the process of refurbing a set of GTA teledials, would also like to know where you got the paint?
did take a lot of time KT, most nights down my shed this week, at least i was keeping out of the way of the mrs
the paint is available from any decent bodyshop supplier. i get mine from a company about 1/4 mile from work, vehicle refinishing specialists (VRS) in Boston, but any decent place on any industrial estate will be able to supply it. looks so much better than just spraying them with 5 wheel silver.
i took one wheel in with me and steve (know them quite well so it helps ) matched it up exactly as the original, there are several different shades of the silver effect believe it or not. get painting
hope they do inspire some to "have a go" a lot of hard work on 2 of the wheels, and 2 were a lot easier
there are 2 different types of wheel also, notice around the hole where the valve goes there is an emblem on one type and not the other. think they are replacement ones, different logos etc on the back the paint on them was far more "normal"
i don't know how compaines do them for the price they do, especially as bad as mine were. took hours to get sorted out. and i spent around £60 - £70 in materials how they do it for around £200 a set i don't know, guess they have had more practice than me
