Taking into consideration that the only thing connecting you and your car to the road are your tyres i'd put the best ones you can on your car. Daiyung Ditchfinder Xtreme's might seem like a good money saving idea at the time, but if it all ends up making an Alfa shaped hole in a hedge somewhere perhaps something a little more expensive may have been a better choice.
Out of interest, how do you achieve less grip on the back on a fwd car? Surely, other than lift-off oversteer (and I don't know how prone 147's are to that), it'll naturally understeer if you push it too hard? Why would you want less grip anyway?
