Pothole has just killed my selespeed!
Not having much luck with cars atm;
Took the car out for a spin yesterday, hit the biggest pot hole with the back wheel (dodged it with the front thanks to my new gta rack). Was only 30mph but was painful and checked for buckled wheel - nope, thought i had got away with it.
Opened the door this morning to a screaming pump which didnt stop, no gears.
Checked selespeed fluid - none at all. It hasnt used a drop for about a year so knew this wasnt good. Filled it up, pump primed like usual and drove fine until it thew itself in neutral at a mini roundabout. Popped bonnet, the reservoir was full of yellow foam type stuff and making a gargling noise. Abandoned it and went to an Alfa dealer and got 2 x 1 ltr bottles of fluid - tipped 500ml into the system and just managed to get home with it spraying straight out underneith.
I'm hoping it will be obvious what has come off as its such a major leak. I will have a closer look tomorrow evening.
The system does pressurise, gears are all ok, pump primes ok - it looses all the fluid even sitting there turned off? any ideas to help me out, worst case scenario accumulator leaking?
