I Need A Faulty Variable Resistor - Yes Really!!
I'm hoping someone has kept their faulty variable resistor from their heater (the one with the aluminium fins).
I recently bought a very cheap 156 V6 to use as a runaround until we get a bit of decent weather. Driving it home, I turned on the heater - Nothing. Got her home and nicked the variable resistor out of my twinnie. Fitted it and perfect climate control
. Then decided to open the faulty one up. Had a good nosey and decided I knew what components need to be replaced to repair it. Jumped on the web and ordered the said components. I then decided to take the circuit board out while I waited for the parts to be delivered. Used a bit too much force in the wrong place and "crack". I know I could just buy another working one (I'm a bit gutted cos I sold one on ebay about a month ago
) but I now need to know if I was right with my diagnosis and want the chance to repair one.
So, if anyone has one they would like to get recycle please let me know. I'm happy to pay postage and and a small donation
