156 Electrical Issues Climate Control

I have a facelift 156 1.9Jtd Veloce and having some electrical issues.
Firstly my radio has stopped working (no power), then my climate control has gone beserk. The drivers control does not work correctly, the temp keeps defaulting to high or 31/32 degrees C and also directing to the footwell. The dial will not turn it down, only up. However the passenger dial seems ok.
Also a more pressing concern seems to be that when i am driving with the lights on and the heater on my front lights go mad. Drivers in front of me keep signalling that either my fogs/and/or indicators/hazards keep turning on, although when i pull over to check all seems fine.

Has anyone come across this before? I

Common problem for the drivers side control on the climate control unit to go AWOL I'm afraid. It's a sealed unit so only choice is either new from the dealer (300) or try and source one from a breakers. Once fitted you need the climate control ECU reprogrammed, as it won't work without this (it will default to hot). Again this is a dealer job.

Hope that helps.

For the staereo check all the fuses - including the one on the back of the stereo.

The climate vpmtrol is a common problem as Spider95 says, but it is not a sealed ujnit and can be repaired easily at home. See this post for details:
