Will my 156 start if crank sensor is faulty?
Or shall i say, will the engine turn over at least if the crank sensor is faulty?
My car didn't start the other day, the engine hardly even turned over before it died out completely. It sounded like it was a flat battery but trying to jump start it I still couldn't get the engine to turn any better. My mechanic today (alfa specialist) said he had found a faulty crank shaft sensor and I gave him the go ahead to replace it anyway. However i'm almost 100% sure that it wasn't the problem? I thought the engine will still turn if it was faulty?
Any ideas anyone? I don't want to pay 200 quid tomorrow and have the same problem over again next morning.
Thanks in advance.
