Turbo Boost Pipe (20v 156)

Just spent the day cheking and cleaning components on our 156 2.4 20v, as it's been playing silly buggers with an overboost problem. I removed the intercooler to throttle body hose to clean out any oil and check it for splits - all ok. Next, the turbo to intercooler hose and immediately noticed it felt (and looked) wet. The whole hose was like this and it felt like oil, plus the hose is extremely soft, much more so than the upper hose. Is this normal or can these hoses go porous due to oil inside them? I thought they were supposed to be quite rigid (like Samco's) and is there anywhere on-line where I can get a new one? Anyone got any suggestions? Cheers.
