Tried a couple of things this weekend but still getting an error
The Cct (1) just means Glow plug circuit 1 which is all 4 cylinders together, if it was a V6 then it could have 2 circuits, one for each bank.
I moved the Glow plug to cyl 2 No difference still getting the Alarm.
I have cleared the alarm with Fiat ECU Scanner but it keeps comming back?
The next thing I checked was the Glow plug relay which is mounted on the bulkhead behind the EGR valve.
This has 3 conectors
1 with 4 wires going to each of the glow plugs
1 with 4 Wires going elsware ? ECU maybe?
1 large 12V feed (70A from Battery positive)
I Metered each of the pins on the connector going to the glow plugs and
3 gave a reading of 0.4 Ohms
The new one now in cyl 2 read 0.3 Ohms
I then checked the outputs from the Relay and got 12V on all four when the relay was activated.
So all looks OK to me but still I get a Flashing light for 30 Seconds and the ECU error now reports "Signal High"
Anyone have any ideas.
