rubbing noise front near side

hi im new to this site just wondered if somebody could help
got a 156 2.0ts 2001 with a rubbing noise from the front n/s, the wheel seems to spin freely when jacked up and have also checked for top/bottom side to side on wheel, all seems fine
The noise sounds like brake pads are worn seems worse when braking below 40 but both pads and disc are new (made the same noise before they were changed)
im gonna give sliders another good clean but not holding my breath

im thinking sticky caliper or bearing maybe both???
or is there other possible reasons?????
