reset engine management computer to start 147
Hi guys, I'm hoping someone can help me start my alfa!
A couple of weeks ago when it was very cold i couldnt get the car started, i tried everything I could think of (also with help from here), and in the end had to give up and get it towed to an alfa garage, the mechanic managed to get it started without a problem - he said there was a failure in the computer, which he deleted, and then it worked fine.
Last night it was cold again - and this morning I cant get it started again... I'm 99% sure it's the same problem - as the central locking also failed both times.
the problem is I'm out in the countryside, and getting it towed to a garage is not really an option (or it's a very expensive one)
Does anyone know how I can delete whatever problem it is?
I tried disconnecting the battery, and letting it stand for 45 mins (as I read that could reset the engine management comp), then connecting again, but with no joy.
The car is a 2001 147 twin spark with a 1.6 engine...
any tips appreciated!
