dash rattle

Ok having looked at umpteen dash rattle threads it would seem that mine makes a similar noise to some but is in a completely different place. It seems to be behind the speedo or further down by the pedals near the centre consol. its like a marble sitting on a surface which is vibrating. Being a diesel it vibrates a lot! its only when the engine is idling. If you even vaguely touch the accelerator its gone. Any ideas as its been there since I bought the car in august 08!

Yeah its normal (It the same on my 156) think its something to do with washes being not thick enough on the mounts or something but you will notice that once the car is warm it tends to go away

I have this too on my GT. My theory is that it is one of the heat exchangers that is vibrating since the problem goes away when the car is warm. Haven't had time to investigate it though.
