Selespeed thinks it's in neutral, but isn't!
Mike2909 and I went out to see a guy in Kirkcaldy this evening, who has just bought a 156 Sele...and has discovered the joys of Selespeed ownership already
Basically, the ECU and the display say the box is in neutral, but the car is in gear - probably 4th or 5th. Pump and pressure are ok. Clutch bleed routine succeeds, but EOL calibration fails with "Error selecting 3a-4a"
My suspicion is that one of the electrovalves or range sensors is duff (the forward/backward one, for want of a better description). I'm not ruling out mechanical damage to the gearbox yet though...
The main thread is on the <other> forum : Alfa Romeo forum: Alfa-diag in Kircaldy????
The car will be towed to the Isle of Skye once the weather improves. Any suggestions welcome though!
