weird, mine runs sweet as a nut when it's warmed up, it's just the initial "get the system" going bit, doing MAF this week so hopefully that will fix.
guess if it doesn't fix the misfiring, then that could be the sparks as you say, I don't know when they were last changed as I bought the car a year ago with patchy service history.
The last one was in 2007 according to the paperwork I have and the following was done:
Engine Flush, Engine Oil, Oil Filter, Air Filter (doh), Plugs x 4, Plugs x 4, Side Bulbs, Number Plate bulb, 4 x tyres, brake pads, discs, suspension bushes x 2
whoever paid to get that done paid a LOT at around £1,077!!! (£473 labour!) funnily these were all done as part of the MOT. the last 2 MOT's however it went through with no faults at all (car was warmed up nicely so wasn't spluttering and was the first in of the day so guess that helped! lol). So that was 2007 the only one before that I have is the lease plan service history up to 40,614 miles, I am concerned cam was never done at the 70-90k mark as the history is missing
But I've got plans for a trip to Bedfordshire for that job!
So as Iain said - if it was a split in the pipes it wouldn't cure itself after it was warmed up - so can rule that out. What about sparks? would it still misfire even after warming up? and only *sometimes* when I accelerate at around 2k revs?
I'm 99% certain its just the MAF as pushing the accelerator too much feels like it's causing the car to choke (from cold start only) which would make me think the amount of air/fuel mix getting through is wrong and could be causing the misfires too? (like a pop from the engine bay)
