Brake Fluid change on 24k GT Service

My GT is due for it's 2 year 24k mile service and I've been quoted 275 for the service, or 360 if I also want the brake fluid changing.

Might just be me but I thought this was high and wanted to know if it's really needed ? If it is I think I'll get the brakes done at a local specialist, but need to service at main dealer as I've got some vouchers to use first.

So does it really need to be done ?

It's recommended. Brake fluid can absorb moisture and as a result if you use your brakes heavily, the moisture "boils" and they become spongy and less effective. Any competent mechanic can change the fluid and it's a DIY job with a Gunson brake-bleeding tool.
