Cambelt Change - What would you do...?
I am going on a 3000 mile European road trip in August next year. My firend's getting married in Slovenia and it is going to be a truely epic adventure with a few mates!
Anyway, I bought my 147 in April with 34k on the clock. I asked the guy to change the Cambelt before buying and he (priprietor of Alfa World in Ascot) or his regular mechanic did so, stamping with Service Book with this. The Car's now on 42500 miles and I imagine by setting off day it will be around 50k. My question is when I bought the car, I knew the cambelt would need to be changed but have since picked up knowledge that the idler, tensioner, balance belt and tensioner etc should definately be changed at the same time....
As I don't know what was done I am wondering if it would be overkill to get another change before my trip and make sure everything is changed as I now know more after reading this forum for the last few months...
What would you do?!
