156 low oil press light prob

i have my brothers 156 2.0 t/spark (1999), it had cambelt failure, so i repleced 2 guides and all the valves, stem seals,h/gasket was unable to change oil as sump plug damaged but made sure level ok, i had it running for 7 hours, then he used for day.

The following day he rang saying it had a misfire, so told him not to use it, next day looked at it and as soon as started it up and thick white smoke out the exhaust, turned off checked oil level (no oil) asked him if he had been checking it and after he said yes he also said the oil light come on twice when driving, removed all plugs and all 4 bores full of oil.
removed head again, removed pistons found rings slightly worn, when removing manifolds to check head over found that the intake gasket hadn't been sealing that well around oil feed for camshaft actuatuor, replaced inlet gasket, rings, another head gasket, back together with new oil and filter (10-40 semi), running fine for 2 hours, smoked cleared, lifters r noisey but all seemed ok, today left it running for about hour, when checking dash, oil light was on, turned off checked level, all ok, restarted still oil light on, but went out when revs held at 2000rpm or over . Tonight started (when cold again) no warning light until about 15 mins later, starting to get up to temp it started to flicker on again,

had a quick look but cant find oil pressure switch, and where do I T in for a oil pressure gauge?

Any help/info most greatful, as spent so much time on this and b such shame to scrap it

Oil pressure sender is on the back of the engine block.
