gear box in, drive shaft out!!

managed to change the gearbox in my 156 manual, but in my haste to get more access to the connecting driveshaft, i undid the top ball joint on the drivers side, and pulled the drive shaft out, now i feel it slipping under hardish acceleration, its fine if i drive normal. but slips when under load. does it have an integral circlip or something more sinister!
thanks alot for all the help you gave me in the gearbox removal, i wont say its the easiest ive ever done, but its done.

I can't see that it can be down to the driveshaft,if it's not connected properly it'll come free very quickly. Did you change the clutch with the gearbox? If not that's probably the cause. Gearbox out again if that's the case.

that's defo not a driveshaft issue, they either work or they don't no middle ground.

That sounds like clutch slipping when a lot of torque is put through it
