Cleaning the "parcel" shelf on a 156!

One of the previous owners would seem to have had a cat or small dog which must have sat between the headrests and left some muck (and a few hairs).

Quite a simple task I hope. the reason I ask is that its covered with some light grey fabric and I dont want to make it look worse by making it patchy or just spreading the muck.

Any dos or donts.

The first step is to remove any excess muck, wearing latex gloves and using you fingers is probably the easiest way tbh since it is quite tight and the parcel shelf is a pig to remove (if it's even possible ). Pet hairs can be tricky to remove, a combination of a good hoover, some sticky tape and a bit of patience should remove them. A fabric/ upholstery cleaner will remove what's left, if you have a wet vac use it, if not some of the foaming "instant valet" stuff from the pound shops/ Autosmarts Bio Brisk (very good product) will do the trick.
